Windows Docker Installation¶
Separate Deployment Type
Docker is a separate deployment type from the native Windows Service. For the recommended native Windows production deployment, see Windows Native Installation.
For the full Docker deployment guide including health checks, host MongoDB connectivity (host.docker.internal), exit codes, firewall configuration, troubleshooting, and offline installation, see Docker Installation.
Prerequisites¶
- Windows Server 2016+ or Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- Docker Desktop or Docker Engine for Windows
- PowerShell 5.1+
- Administrator privileges
- MongoDB 6.0+ accessible from the Docker host
Quick Start¶
Using the Installer Script¶

powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\scripts\windows\docker\install.ps1
Manual Docker Compose¶

docker build -t iqv-integration-api:dev .
docker compose up --build
Environment Configuration¶
Create a .env file from .env.example before starting. The installer never auto-creates .env.
Host MongoDB¶
If the customer already runs MongoDB as a host service, set MONGODB_URI to that instance using host.docker.internal:

MONGODB_URI=mongodb://host.docker.internal:27017/iqv_integration
Do not start a second MongoDB in Docker unless explicitly intended.
Optional Local MongoDB (Development Only)¶

docker compose -f docker-compose.yml -f docker-compose.local.yml --profile local-db up --build
Warning
The local-db profile is for development only. Production deployments should use the customer's existing MongoDB service.
