Uninstall Guide¶
Uninstall is not a full purge unless you pass explicit flags. External MongoDB data is never deleted. Docker Engine and the Windows/Linux MongoDB service are never uninstalled.

Shared rules¶
- Normal uninstall removes the managed service or container, not the customer database.
- Config is preserved unless you opt into runtime/env purge.
- Logs are removable only with an explicit flag.
- Docker images are removable only with an explicit flag.
- Volumes are not removed on Linux Docker uninstall. Windows Docker volumes require
-RemoveVolumes -Force. - External MongoDB data is not deleted.
- Docker Engine / MongoDB Windows service /
mongodpackages are not removed.
